Community

We believe that a fulfilling life is one that’s shared in a community that cares for one another. We’ve been blessed with a wonderful circle of friends in Seattle, and look forward to bring our child into this loving community.

Our neighborhood

Away from the bustle of city life, we live by the beach in a tranquil neighborhood called West Seattle. Our home sits right on the beach, overlooking the blue waters of the Puget Sound and the majestic Olympic mountains out in the distance. We love going for walks to the nearby sandy beach where families picnic and kids run around with their kites. And every night, we get to watch the breathtaking colors of sunset as the sounds of waves and seagulls lull us to sleep. But the best part of our neighborhood are our wonderful neighbors! In the short time we've lived here, we've bonded with many of our neighbors who gather for potlucks, baby showers, karaoke, and dance parties.

Our church

We are part of a vibrant, multi-cultural church community called Quest, which we’ve called home since 2019. We’ve developed many close friendships with folks at the church, and we’re SO EXCITED to bring our child into this loving community where they will be adored and doted on by many “aunties” and “uncles.” We love this community and do our part to help it thrive. Jun serves as an Elder and also enjoys sharing his musical talents now and then. Drew volunteers in the children's ministry, doing what he loves most — spending time with kids.

Meeting different people

As outgoing, relational people, we enjoy meeting new folks and growing our community in Seattle and beyond. Our friends come from wildly different backgrounds and life experiences. From corporate executives to young professionals. From senior citizens to recent college grads. From Seattle natives who’ve never left the country to folks born and raised in other parts of the world. We believe our diverse community of friends and family will expand our child’s worldview and enrich their life with a variety of stories and perspectives.
